To Blog or Not ?

All Media for Obama? Where is the balance?When did the media become "Let's ALL go for Obama" all or nothing? I'm really shocked, dismayed, and really disappointed, especially in shows media like CNN, Bill Maher and others that claimed to be unfiltered, fair and balanced (the tag that Fox uses and has never been.) But it's clear they are all slamming Hillary and all a go for Obama and pushing him on us now. How can that be? I'll have to admit, after a long day of work I was tired and it almost worked, i was thinking, hey maybe Obama isn't so bad, then i splashed some cold water on my face and I woke up and saw another one of his pathetic "annnd, uhhhh, annnnnd, uhhhh" non-substance speeches and came to my senses! Maybe its the drought here in the Florida and the pod planted in the backyard didn't take and they didn't take over my brain!

It been so obvious all along when they weren't allowing the lesser funded candidates on the early debates and one by one they had to fall off only because of media support and thus lost funding and support. Who is really guiding our elections? It's all the media? Why should we even allow newspapers and media giants to swing their support behind a candidate? That needs to change fast!
Bill Maher's show of 2-23-08 was "All About Obama, Barrack please come on the show so I can blow you before your president!" It's sick, disguising, and now fully and full heartedly discredits him as any type of political show. He's fallen off the wagon and might as well do a game show like Dennis Miller!

Obama's Intended Air of Confusion? 2-16-08
One thing that concerns me about Obama is that there has been this cloud of mystery among some about him being a Muslim and whether he was the one to be sworn into office on the Koran. He makes continual statements that he has always been a Christian and that it is wrong, so why doesn't he simply point out it was Keith Ellison of Minnesota who was the only other black senator to come into office at the same time? This cloud of confusion is somehow helping him or is he allowing that to cover up other more serious topics he doesn't want addressed? In one Google search you can find the info yet Obama lets it persist, perhaps to draw more PR attention. I guess one could make the agreement he doesn't want to put a brother senator out in the cold on the issue, in any case I personally find this aspect very unsettling. 

2-14-08 Can't we just impeach Bush now (not only for blatant crimes and infractions - but for just being himself!) and get on with the election and save the Country all the grief and money? They tried to impeach Clinton for just a BJ before the end of his term and didn't clean out the banks and gas pumps, he did actually do some good to the economy. As Dennis Miller once said (but might not admit to now that he's gone over to the other side (Republicans and Fox TV? ) Shouldn't we let the guy have a fat chick once in a while if our stocks keep going up? Well what should we do for Bush with what he's done?

Today's rant! 2-13-08
Another election and its time for me to rant about reforms and my views. After seeing Christine Jennings and Vern Buchanan spend an Un-Godly amount of money for one small seat in congress it dawned on me that there should be one simple rule for all elected officials across the country

• ELECTION REFORM 1 " For every dollar spent on advertising for an elected office that person must spend an equal portion of money on a bonified 501c3 charity that they have never been affiliated with before running for office" Can you imagine how many children would get a meal, books and computers, how many causes would be well funded just from this election?
  
  
• ELECTION REFORM 2 The electorial college was invented 200 years ago and has never, in one single election represented the popular vote. Have you ever met an electorial that represents your view 100%? Its time to go to popular vote - 100% Abolish the electorial college and make it fair (again this would get rid of unfair campaign financing as well.)
  
  
• ELECTION REFORM 3 National Driver's License Voter Registration - it's a no-brainer. Only the truly paranoid would be afraid of it. We need better registration for all people, and better rights for all races - this is one step.
  

• ELECTION REFORM 4 It's time for political accountability. Campaign promises must be held accountable to the highest office and lowest office. If a candidate makes a promise on the platform along the trail, they have to deliver or face a financial penalty. If the promise leads to serious civil or criminal consequences then they may also face jail time!
  
  

• Florida and Michigan Dems don't count? Okay Democratic party, then maybe you don't need us at all any more, contributions and all - we'll all become Independent voters (I simply can't see myself switching to that other party in the face of what George W has done through the years.) It was our state that changed the primary date, not each and every one of us. If Republicans are counting their primary votes, you damn sure better count mine and it better make a difference!
